Hi! My name is Richard Wohlbold and I’m currently doing my Master’s studies in IT-Systems Engineering student at Hasso Plattner Institute.

Right now, I am in my second Master’s semester. I have experience in Cybersecurity: I did a six-month internship in Cybersecurity Tesing at Hilti from October 2023 to March 2024. I also participated in various CTFs:

• European Cybersecurity Challenge 2022
• Cybersecurity Challenge Germany 2022
• HackTheBox University CTF 2021
• saarCTF 2021 and 2022

I am also interested in computer networks and distributed systems which were topics in my Bachelor’s project Wifi Handover for Residential Areas: Driving VXLANs via BGP as well as my Bachelor’s thesis Load Balancing and Failover for Isolated, Multi-Tenant Layer 2 Virtual Private Networks.

Apart from that, I have experience with:

• Software Engineering, in particular web development
• CI/CD and server administration
• Languages: German, English, French, Spanish
