One week ago, together with our institute’s Cybersecurity Club, I participated in the HackTheBox University CTF Qualifiers With our team Platypwnies, we were able to reach 6th place and qualify for the finals.
I have been getting more into cybersecurity this year, so for me, this was the first Capture The Flag event to which I wholeheartedly committed my time. In total, we worked over two days on the challenges, out of which we slept a little more than ten hours. This sort of commitment was one thing that made this experience a lot of fun. Also, working with more experienced team members on the challenges taught me a lot about how to approach these sort of challenges. Lastly, the challenges themselves were really well-made, so a big thank you to Hack The Box for organising the event!
